We can guide our clients through the appeal process, but we do our very best to avoid taking our clients there. In our view the appeal process is the last resort.
The appellant’s chance of success at appeal is roughly thirty per cent. During negotiations with the planning authority the appellant is able to control (to some extent) where the application is heading; however, once the case has gone to appeal, the appellant loses this control.
We are fully conversant with the appeal process and have undertaken appeals by inquiry, hearing and written representation.
We can assist with planning appeals in the following ways:
The preparation of appeal documents including the initial grounds of appeal and supporting information
Collation and submission of the appeal application
Submission of Written Representation Appeals
Attendance at informal and formal hearings and enquiries
