This planning application was made on behalf our clients to reinstate a listed house that was damaged following a fire in June 2019.

The site of the house is within a Conservation Area boundary with a statutory requirement set out in the 1990 Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Area) Act that development in conservation areas should preserve and enhance. Therefore, the application was sensitive to this.

The drawings submitted with the application demonstrated that the house was to be reinstated with matching bricks, matching lime mortar, and a natural slate roof ridge tiles.

The building will retain its original curtilage and the outbuildings that show on the historic maps. The outbuildings that were part of the historic brickworks will be repaired.

The permission was granted allowing this historic building to be restored.
