This application is for conversion of a listed barn and curtilage listed squash court in Surrey. The site is within the Metropolitan Green Belt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This application is made on behalf of our client for the conversion of a curtilage listed former squash court and stable block to form a single dwelling.Parallel with this submission was a separate application to convert the Grade II listed timber framed barn and its connected stables belonging to the client.

Our team were able to show that the proposal satisfies both national and local planning policy and allows for the conservation of a curtilage listed building. The application was submitted with an archaeological appraisal and structural report.

The proposal will allow for a viable use for a redundant and deteriorating building and ensure its future maintenance. This will then improve the AONB, reflect the historic landscape of the farmyard group and positively contribute to the setting of the adjacent listed buildings
